Local food – it’s miles better!

Saturday 19 October will see a range of local farmers bringing their produce to market in Cherry Burton. Organised by the village’s Fairtrade and Local Produce Group, the event will be held in the Village Hall between 3 and 5pm. There will be delicious produce including cheeses, sausages, vegetables, chorizo, salami, beers, Christmas tipples, cold-pressed rapeseed oil, stollen, muesli, Christmas puddings, wonderful baking, sausage rolls and quiches, while you can order your turkey, duck, goose or chicken in good time for Christmas.

For the children, there will be a chance to win a prize in a competition for the best drawing of anything to do with farming – just bring your entry, on an A4 sheet of paper, to the market.

There will be free entry to the market, a raffle, and refreshments, so come along and enjoy the tasters, displays and the atmosphere!
