Sunday, January 29th, 2012Back by popular demand, there will be another Fairtrade Breakfast on Saturday March 10th, from 9 to 11.30am in the St. Michael Centre. Come and start the weekend in style, with breakfast served to your table, to include local sourced bacon butty, Fairtrade cereal and fruit juice, toast, and tea or coffee. Record Breakers!
Friday, December 23rd, 2011Great news! Fairtrade supporters are officially Guiness World Record Breakers! On World Fair Trade Day in May 2011 supporters across the country made the Longest Line of Bunting – all 3,427.94 metres of it! Cherry Burton contributed some 75 metres to this massive total, so many congratulations to everyone involved.
Cherry Burton Play with Fairtrade Balls
Tuesday, November 23rd, 2010Soccer stars of the future will now be taking the Fairtrade message to all their matches, thanks to the donation of Fairtrade match balls to Cherry Burton youngsters. Boys from the Under-13s team lined up to receive the new balls from Group Secretary, Ros Stanley, recently, and are looking forward to a successful new season, and approved of the “excellent quality” of their new balls.

- Fairtrade Breakfast and Coffee Tasting, 6 March, 9 – 11.30am, St. Michael’s Centre [All welcome, contact 01964 550688 to ensure place]. Breakfast will be served anytime between 9 and 11.30am, with a mouth-watering selection of bacon butties to complement the Fairtrade mueslis, and toasts with Fairtrade honey or marmalade. Cafe Direct have kindly agreed to provide a range of their coffees to add liquid refreshment, and there will be a selection of Fairtrade products for sale. Free entry, with donations towards repairs to the church ceiling.
